Clean retainers in minutes — why a mini ultrasonic cleaner beats soaking alone
A pocket-size ultrasonic bath loosens biofilm that rinses and tablet soaks leave behind. Here’s how the SDKEHUI mini line works — and which model fits your routine.
Clear aligners and retainers sit against enamel all day. A rinse clears loose debris; overnight tablet soaks soften film. What still clings in microscopic grooves is biofilm — and that cloudy haze is exactly what ultrasonic cavitation is built to shake off.

How a mini ultrasonic bath actually cleans
Inside the tank, a transducer drives the water at tens of thousands of cycles per second (SL-103 at 45 kHz; SC-194 at 48 kHz). Tiny vacuum bubbles form and collapse against the plastic surface — cavitation. That micro-agitation reaches edges and clasp areas a toothbrush often misses, without abrasive scrubbing that can scratch clear trays.

Everyday retainer care
A simple daily routine
Drop in → Press once → Rinse
- Rinse first. Knock off toothpaste and food under tap water.
- Fill to the line. Use water; add cleaner only if the manual allows for your model.
- Basket in, lid on. Keep the piece fully wetted — not dry on the rim.
- Run a short cycle. Often about 5 minutes (SL-103: 2–10 min timers · SC-194: Quick 5 / Deep 10).
- Rinse, dry, case. Shake off water and store in a clean case — don’t leave it wet on the counter.
Tip: cloudy trays after coffee or sauce usually need a cycle the same day — don’t wait for overnight haze to harden.
Soak tablets vs mini ultrasonic
| Tablet soak | Mini ultrasonic | |
|---|---|---|
| Action | Chemical dissolve / soften | Physical cavitation in water |
| Time | Often 15–30+ min | Often ~5–10 min |
| Edges & grooves | Depends on soak coverage | Strong where water reaches |
| Travel | Tablets + cup | One compact unit + adapter |
| Best combo | Many people still use tablets weekly and ultrasonic daily — follow your dental guidance. | |
